Tom's pottery is made with the use of a potters wheel and fired on location at his studio here in Maine! The glazes are mixed by by Tom and are non-toxic once the pots are fired to a temperature of 2350°f in his kiln. Fired with propane, the effects achieved by this reduction firing are visible on pots,causing subtle variations that depend on placement in the kiln as well as application of the glaze and firing time. The unique character of each piece is a testament to the hand made process.
